Jimmie Vaughan and his band will perform their last “50 years” show Tuesday, December 17th before the big New Years Eve show, capping off the Continental Club residency.

The band has been greeted with a packed house each night, some fans coming out for every show. A hand full of performances in each set have featured Lou Ann Barton, with lots of laughs and applause for the pair’s duets. The two Austin mainstays have been performing and collaborating for years, and it shows in their infectious chemistry on stage.

The Continental Club has been the ideal backdrop for celebrating 50 years in the business. Austin mementos hang on the wall including a sign from the classic “Rome Inn” that hosted blues artists back in the early years of the music scene, including Jimmie Vaughan. The iconic Continental itself has been a constant for Jimmie through the decades.

You don’t want to miss this quintessential Austin experience, celebrating live music, a classic Austin venue, and one of the cornerstones of our music scene.
